We will be hoping for another classic when the Buffalo Bills roll into town on Sunday to face an in-form Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6.

Great start to the season for both teams

The Chiefs proved to be comeback kings on Monday night as they showed nerves of steel to recover from a 17-point deficit before snatching a 30-29 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. Meanwhile, the Bills boast an identical record to the Chiefs (4-1), although the Bills were hardly tested in their last outing as they pummeled the Steelers 38-3.

Key stats ahead of the game

But what did we learn from Week 5? Here are a few intriguing stats and takeaways from the Chiefs and Bills worth keeping in mind:

  • Bills quarterback Josh Allen threw for 348 yards in the first half and finished with a franchise high for a regulation game (424 yards).
  • Wide receiver Gabe Davis managed a career-high 171 yards on three receptions against the Steelers.
  • Patrick Mahomes took center stage against the Raiders, providing four touchdown passes to Travis Kelce.
  • Against the Raiders, the Chiefs allowed 154 rushing and 7+ yards per carry to Josh Jacobs.

This matchup has all the ingredients to be a blockbuster encounter and there will be a plethora of US online betting sites stocked with a range of lines.

To keep you abreast of things, we have selected a couple of markets for you to chew over ahead of the game.

Kansas City Chiefs to take the spoils

NFL fans will be in for a treat as this clash pits two stellar quarterbacks against each other in Mahomes and Allen. Yet what is perhaps more surprising is that Mahomes is poised to be the home underdog for the first time in his career.

A cursory glance at the head-to-head stats shows that the Bills have the slight edge with 27 wins clocked up from 52 meetings with the Chiefs, and last season’s match will linger long in the memory. In the playoffs, the Chiefs beat the Bills 42-36 in what can only be described as an epic, as the game featured three lead changes in the final two minutes.

Both sides have stout defenses, although as mentioned, the Jacobs conundrum will still be nagging at the Chiefs who need to find other ways to stifle more physical teams. Nevertheless, the Chiefs should have enough to take the spoils, having won three of their past four showdowns with the Bills.

While the Chiefs are currently trading at outsiders on the Moneyline with BetMGM (+120), this price shouldn’t be scoffed at, and it is worth exploring further.

A high-scoring classic on the cards

Literally and figuratively, the Raiders and Chiefs set off fireworks in the Monday night game with both teams combining for almost 750 yards. As we have also seen, the Chiefs have a knack of turning things around when their backs are against the wall, and it would be amiss to rule them out.

Judging by the first few weeks of the campaign, it would seem that there is little separating the Chiefs and the Bills, and the Bills will have been waiting for a long time to exact revenge. The Bills have been highly impressive offensively and defensively, and the game could well open up with some explosive plays. Whether last season’s playoff meeting score will be matched or eclipsed remains to be seen, but it could be another game for the ages in terms of the scoreline.

More recently, clashes between the Bills and the Chiefs have been riveting. Indeed, two of the past three meetings have seen 58 points or more scored. If you are swayed by the totals market, then FanDuel is offering juicy odds of +200 for there to be Over 60.5 points during regulation time. While the game may not go into Overtime, it will still be a great spectacle.
